*(dc) lethal cement truck

last week the father of a friend of mine was killed by a cement truck. i don't think i want to go into the details, but it involved him working on the brakes and getting crushed by it. i have been thinking hard about whether or not i can continue being so enamored and excited by cement trucks. but, today i talked to my friend and he said i shouldn't change this blog or anything else because of this. i want to just take a moment to honor his father, whose entire (huge) company of thousands of people (nationwide?) shut down after his death.

it just hasn't been the same feeling cement truck watching since then.

so to my friend, i'm so so sorry. you and your father and your family will be in my thoughts.
