i saw both of these today. one in the morning on the way to the metro, and the other in the evening walking back from the metro.

meet me under the spiral cement truck
spiral cement trucks are a rare delight. oh, yes, all cement trucks are charming and inexplicably appealing...but why have a cement truck and not paint a black spiral on it? i mean, what's the point, really? the magic is in the spiral.
