well,
i'm now the proud owner of these:
apollo-era tape machines that were among the bank of machines that recorded men walking around on the moon. i bought them at the NASA auction today. i will now attempt to use them to record people singing (or playing instruments) in my studio.
but first, i must figure out how to get them up the stairs. they apparently each weigh close to 1000 lbs.
oof.
