(dc) nature boy
i just downloaded (PURCHASED) about 30 different versions of "nature boy," which is one of my favorite songs ever, and which suddenly i've decided i want to record.
"Nature Boy"
There was a boy...
A very strange enchanted boy.
They say he wandered very far, very far
Over land and sea,
A little shy and sad of eye
But very wise was he.
And then one day,
A magic day, he passed my way.
And while we spoke of many things,
Fools and kings,
This he said to me,
"The greatest thing you'll ever learn
Is just to love and be loved in return."
And then one day,
A magic day, he passed my way.
And while we spoke of many things,
Fools and kings,
This he said to me,
"The greatest thing you'll ever learn
Is just to love and be loved in return."

When you're done recording "Nature Boy", you might want to record the companion song:
"Nature Girl"
There was a girl...
A very strange enchanted girl.
They say she wandered very far, very far
Over land and sea,
and my, oh my --- she caught my eye
a certified hot-tee!.
And then one day,
A tragic day, she passed my way.
And while I spoke of many things,
(like G-strings),
This she said to me,
"The greatest thing you'll ever learn
Is quit your love, 'cause there's none in return."
And then one day,
A tragic day, she passed my way.
And while I spoke of many things,
(like G-strings),
This she said to me,
"The greatest thing you'll ever learn
Is quit your love --- for you there's only spurn."
Hope you picked up the version by Kurt Elling. It's sweet.
yup. gottit.
The first time I heard Nature Boy, I thought to myself that it would make the coolest lullaby ever.
