I still disagree with this quote. There's always something there.

As I pointed out earlier, this reminds me of the Dorothy Parker quote "There's no there there," which she said when somebody asked her opinion of LA. Obviously there is a "there" in LA, it's just not out in the open smacking you in the face like it would be in, say, New York. It's there--you just have to look harder.

So when somebody tells me there's nothing there (wherever "there" might be), I just think that person is too lazy to go and find it.

And who is this Frank A. Clark fellow? A web search turns up only that he is a thinker. So does that mean he writes simplistic aphorisms all day? Good for him, I guess.
