actual conversation at the entrance to the l'enfant metro station last night:
[random guy]: how ya doin'? (this seems to be the greeting of choice in the district)
[me]: fine, thanks
[random guy]: do you have a boyfriend?
[me] (without looking back - this guy was a bit sketchy): yes, i do.
[random guy]: you oughtta have him come pick you up. it's dangerous out here.
so...justin...come pick me up?

how about 5:15?
hi kelly. so, it is none of my business, and you should do whatever you want to do in order to find happiness; but, i wanted to let you know that i will be quite sad if/when you move to dc. i know we've only hung out a couple of times, but i read your blog everyday. somehow, that makes you feel close to a person, which is a little weird. but, i admire you greatly and was hoping we might hang out more. so, as you make plans for this wonderful change in your life, i sit here feeling sad. houston will be a little less interesting without you around.
